This one-day intensive course is designed to meet and exceed Illinois state requirements, providing students with the legal knowledge and practical skills necessary for responsible concealed carry. SELECT THIS FOR RENEWALS ONLY
Renewal Students: Only required to attend Saturday, April 18th.
The "Working Lunch": We hit the ground running and don’t stop for long; please bring your own lunch and snacks for both days.
Day 2: Law & Live-Fire (April 18)
Deep dive into the Illinois Firearm Concealed Carry Act.
State and Federal laws (ownership, transport, and prohibited locations).
Proper interaction with law enforcement while carrying.
Live-Fire Qualification: Conducted at J.R. Shooting Sports.
CCL Renewal: $75
Electronic Fingerprinting: A licensed Livescan vendor will be on-site on Day 2. This is an optional service for an additional fee, designed to significantly speed up your state application approval.
Strict Policy: No firearms or ammunition are permitted inside the clubhouse at any time. Keep them secured in your vehicle until we head to the range on Day 2.
Registration: You must provide your name exactly as it appears on your FOID or current CCL. Email this information—or a copy of your card—to info@compassroseft.com.
Renewal Flexibility: Training certificates do not expire. You can take this course now and apply for your renewal once you hit the 90-day window before your current license expires.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be submitted by email info@compassroseft.com or phone (630.465.0640) no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled class to be eligible for a full refund, minus a 3% transactional service fee or any applicable processing fee. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled class are non‑refundable. Compass Rose Firearms Training, LLC reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or other operational circumstances. In the event Compass Rose Firearms Training, LLC cancels a class, students will receive a refund. All classes require a minimum of four (4) participants. If this minimum is not met 72 hours before the scheduled class, the class may be canceled, and students will be refunded.
