Illinois Concealed Carry Class - April 11th & 18th
This two-day intensive course is designed to meet and exceed Illinois state requirements, providing students with the legal knowledge and practical skills necessary for responsible concealed carry.
Schedule & Requirements
Full Course (New Applicants): Must attend both Saturday, April 11th and Saturday, April 18th (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).
The "Working Lunch": We hit the ground running and don’t stop for long; please bring your own lunch and snacks for both days.
Curriculum Breakdown
Day 1: The Essentials (April 11)
Handgun basics and shooting fundamentals.
Situational awareness and conflict avoidance strategies.
The psychology of violent encounters.
Legal considerations and post-incident responsibilities.
Home defense principles and gear guidance for effective concealment.
Day 2: Law & Live-Fire (April 18)
Deep dive into the Illinois Firearm Concealed Carry Act.
State and Federal laws (ownership, transport, and prohibited locations).
Proper interaction with law enforcement while carrying.
Live-Fire Qualification: Conducted at J.R. Shooting Sports.
Pricing & Fast-Tracking
Full CCL Training: $175
Electronic Fingerprinting: A licensed Livescan vendor will be on-site on Day 2. This is an optional service for an additional fee, designed to significantly speed up your state application approval.
Crucial Logistics
Strict Policy: No firearms or ammunition are permitted inside the clubhouse at any time. Keep them secured in your vehicle until we head to the range on Day 2.
Range Gear: You will need your pistol, if you don’t have one contact info@compassroseft.com for accommodation in ADVANCE, you may bring 50–100 rounds of ammunition if you would like time to practice a few shots, but you will need 30 rounds for the live-fire qualification, and your own eye and ear protection for Day 2.
Registration: You must provide your name exactly as it appears on your FOID (if applicable) or your current driver’s license. Email this information—or a copy of your card—in ADVANCE to info@compassroseft.com.
No FOID card? Email info@compassroseft.com in ADVANCE to arrange accommodations.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled class to receive a full refund (minus a 3% transactional service fee or any applicable processing fee) and must be submitted by email info@compassroseft.com or phone (630.465.0640) . Cancellations made within 72 hours are non‑refundable. Compass Rose Firearms Training, LLC may cancel a class due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or other circumstances. If Compass Rose Firearms Training, LLC cancels a class, students will receive a refund. All classes require a minimum of four participants; if this minimum is not met 72 hours before the class, the class may be canceled and students will be refunded.
